Meet SODF: The DJs fast becoming one of Sydney’s best keep secrets.
SODF caught the attention of the internet with ‘Skankin’, a gritty club track which has to date amassed over 400,000 streams across numerous online blogs.
This release was followed up with a combined effort with American producers C&T, with their take on Loud Luxury’s hit ‘All For You’ clearing the 100,000 stream benchmark in under 2 months.
Radio interest was soon to follow, with ‘Real’ serviced to Triple J Unearthed Radio and receiving glowing reviews from Dave Ruby Howe and The Aston Shuffle, among others. The single and subsequent remixes were released on local imprint The Art Department, and after making it to #5 on the iTunes electronic release chart, were launched to a sold out Sydney crowd.
Not long after, the boys were approached to remix Mickey Kojack’s ‘Move Too Fast’ on prestigious Australian label Sweat It Out! (RUFUS, What So Not, Cassian, Motez etc.) This was premiered by Dom Dolla and Torren Foot as the opening track to their ‘Mix Up Exclusive’s set.
More recently their single ‘Modular’ has gained international attention with support from DR FRESCH, Mickey Kojak, Go Freek, Hood Rich & Double Agent.
Combine slick production, underground sensibilities and an ear for catchy, memorable melodies, and it’s no surprise SODF is fast becoming one of Sydney’s best keep secrets.
