Ariana Grande returns to #1 with Thank U, Next

Debuts for Hozier, Pond, Solange and more!

Following a week at #2, Ariana Grande returns to #1 on the Albums Chart with Thank U, Next. It’s the American artist’s third week at #1 with her fifth album.
 
Ed Sheeran’s ÷ moves up three spots to #9, returning to the Top Ten for a 97th week.
 
Also moving up three, Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys is at #10 this week. It’s the album’s 32nd week in the Top Ten.
 
Amy Shark’s ARIA Award-winning Love Monster jumps up 17 spots this week to sit at #30.
 
Following the passing of Prodigy member Keith Flint during the week, the British electronic group’s third album The Fat Of The Land (#1 Jul. ’97) returns to the chart at #34.
 
On the back of their national tour, the Arctic Monkeys return to the Top 50 this week at #45 with previous #1 AM (#1 Sept. ’13).

Debuts:

#8: Hozier ‘Wasteland, Baby!’ – Hozier returns to the ARIA Top Ten with Wasteland, Baby! The Irish singer-songwriter’s second album is the follow-up to his self-titled debut (#3 Apr. ’15) and features an appearance by the legendary Mavis Staples on opening track, ‘Nina Cried Power’.
 
#15: Pond ‘Tasmania’ – Perth band Pond return with their eighth album, Tasmania. Coming two years on from The Weather (#33 May ’17), it’s their fourth release to hit the Top 50 and joins Man It Feels Like Space Again (#15 Feb. ’15) as their highest-charting album.
 
#17: Solange ‘When I Get Home’ – After its surprise release, When I Get Home give Solange a new peak on the ARIA Albums Chart. The American singer-songwriter’s fourth album comes three years after A Seat At The Table (#21 Oct. ’16). Collaborators on When I Get Home include Gucci Mane, Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes, Sampha, Earl Sweatshirt and more.
 
#18: Tom Walker ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ – After hitting the Singles Chart with ‘Leave A Light On’ (#20 Oct. ’18), Scottish songwriter Tom Walker hits the Albums Chart with What A Time To Be Alive. Walker’s debut album includes the aforementioned single, as well as a collaboration with Zara Larsson and ‘Walk Alone’, a track featuring Walker that was on Rudimental’s album Toast To Our Differences (#41 Feb. ’19).
 
#20: Lil Skies ‘Shelby’ – American rapper Lil Skies makes his ARIA Top 50 debut with Shelby. It’s the second studio album from the Pennsylvania-born artist and comes just over a year on from his debut, Life Of A Dark Rose.
 
#21: Bryan Adams ‘Shine A Light’ – Rock veteran Bryan Adams releases his fourteenth studio album, Shine A Light. Adams’ first album since Get Up (#6 Oct. ’15) features collaborations with Ed Sheeran and Jennifer Lopez. The Canadian singer-songwriter will be touring Australia in March.
 
#35: 2 Chainz ‘Rap Or Go To The League’ – 2 Chainz grabs his first Top 50 appearance with Rap Or Go To The League. It’s the rapper’s fifth studio album is executive produced by NBA superstar LeBron James and features guest appearances by Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, Young Thug, Chance The Rapper and more.
 
#37: Mansionair ‘Shadowboxer’ – Sydney trio Mansionair release their debut album, Shadowboxer. It gives the electronic band their first appearance on the ARIA Charts. They’ve previously released the EPs Pick Me Up (2015), Hold Me Down (#2016) and Easier (The Remixes) (2017).
 
#48: In Flames ‘I, The Mask’ – In Flames take out a fourth Top 50 entry with I, The Mask. It’s the Swedish metal band’s 13th album and the follow-up to Battles (#38 Nov. ’16). In Flames’ chart peak was with Siren Charms (#33 Sept. ’14).
