John Butler and G Flip land in the top 5

After taking a week off, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack is back at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for the eighth non-consecutive week, while John Butler and G Flip debut in the top 5. 

ARIA Award winner John Butler lands at #3 with Prism, his fifth solo album. His highest charting solo albums were One Small Step and Still Searching, both of which peaked at #23 in 2007 and 2024 respectively. The John Butler Trio scored nine top 50 albums, climbing to #1 with Sunrise Over Sea in 2004, Grand National in 2007, April Uprising in 2010 and Home in 2018. 

The winner of three ARIA Awards, G Flip makes it to #4 with their third album, Dream Ride. They got to #6 in 2019 with About Us and #1 in 2023 with Drummer

G Flip also tops the Vinyl Chart, with John Butler close behind at #2.

The release of Justin Bieber’s Swag II sends the original album, Swag, back from #20 to #6. It debuted and peaked at #2 in July. The lead single, former chart-topper Daisies, rises from #11 to #8. 

Talking Heads’ David Byrne scores a new chart high as a solo act, with Who Is The Sky? debuting at #18. Until now, his best performer had been My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts (with Brian Eno), which reached #47 in 1981. Talking Heads had five top 20 albums, reaching #2 with Little Creatures in 1985 and True Stories in 1986.

Golden from KPop Demon Hunters holds at #1 for the seventh week in a row. The soundtrack continues to dominate the singles chart, with seven tracks in the top 20.

Rising English star Olivia Dean hits a new chart high as Man I Need climbs from #6 to #2. 

And the Australian Singles Chart has another new #1: The Kid LAROI’s A Cold Play. Flowing closely behind is last week’s #1 Dancing2 from Keli Holiday. At #3, Tame Impala is new with Loser, the second single from upcoming album Deadbeat. 

SZA’s 2022 album SOS takes the top spot on the On Replay Albums Chart; it spent one week at #1 on the main Albums Chart in 2023. Teddy Swims’ Lose Control is #1 on the On Replay Singles Chart. It peaked at #4 on the main chart last year.
