Morgan Wallen holds at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for the second week with I’m The Problem. The album has also topped the albums charts in the US, the UK, New Zealand and parts of Europe.
The last country male singer to hit #1 here was, yep, also Morgan Wallen. He spent two weeks on top in 2023 with One Thing At A Time. Before that, Keith Urban was at #1 for one week in 2020 with The Speed Of Now Part 1.
Pitbull’s Greatest Hits lands in the top 10 for the first time since it was released in 2017, up from #16 to #9. His highest charted album here is Planet Pit, which reached #5 in 2011.
Melbourne rock band Kisschasy’s Hymns For The Nonbeliever re-enters at #28 thanks to its release on vinyl. It peaked at #5 in 2007.
Private Function are new at #43 with ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It’s the Aussie punk band’s third charted album: they reached #9 in 2020 with Whose Line Is It Anyway? and #11 in 2023 with 370HSSV 0773H. The new album includes a limited edition “Goopy” scratch’n’sniff vinyl version scented like Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop fragrance.
On the Singles Chart, Alex Warren makes it 10 weeks in a row at #1 with Ordinary. It joins an exclusive club: only 30 songs have spent 10 or more weeks at #1. Tones and I leads the pack, thanks to the 24 weeks Dance Monkey spent on top in 2019-20.
Other members of the “10 weeks at #1” category include Daddy Cool’s Eagle Rock (1971), ABBA’s Mamma Mia (1975), Sandi Thom’s I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (2006) and – most recently – Jack Harlow’s Lovin’ On Me (2023-24).
Hard on Alex’s heels is Sombr, whose first two hits rank at #2 (Undressed) and #3 (Back To Friends).
Meanwhile, Alex also has the highest new entry of the week as Bloodline enters at #16. It’s a duet with Jelly Roll, giving the acclaimed American country star his first appearance on the singles chart (he reached #19 on the ARIA Albums Chart last year with Beautifully Broken). Alex is also at #20 with Carry You Home.
