There’s a huge number of new releases this week, with the return of a few Australian legends. Here are the new music releases for 13 November 2020.
AC/DC - PWR/UP
They're back! ARIA Hall Of Fame inductees AC/DC soldier on with their seventeenth album PWR/UP, their first new music in 6 years. It’s the first since the death of founder Malcolm Young in 2017, and sees a couple of ex AC/DC-era return to the fold.
Benee - Hey u x
Benee has been releasing killer tunes like Glitter and Supalonely. She now releases her debut album, which is set to make her a star beyond here and her native New Zealand.
Josh Teskey and Ash Grunwald - Push The Blues Away
Josh Teskey of The Teskey Brothers and blues rocker Ash Grunwald team up for a new album. The album strips it all away with the two men making the most of their voices with just acoustic guitars and harmonicas. It features originals as well as classic blues covers.
Onefour - Against All Odds
Sydney’s OneFour release their debut EP Against All Odds. The hip hop group have faced controversy in recent years with arrests and encounters with police, but they have been releasing music through it all. The EP features My City, their new single with The Kid Laroi.
Archie Roach - Songs From Charcoal Lane
Archie Roach will be inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame this year, and its a deserving tribute to a man whose music career began with the 1990 classic album Charcoal Lane. During lockdown, Roach decided to revisit the songs and put stripped down versions on YouTube. Those recordings are collected on this new album, with Roach putting a new spin on classics 30 years later.
Delta Goodrem - Only Santa Knows
It’s that time of year, and the Christmas albums start arriving. This year Delta Goodrem puts her spin on the holiday classics including Silent Night and White Christmas. The album features a duet with Olivia Newton-John.
Chris Stapleton - Starting Over
US country megastar Chris Stapleton releases his fourth album. Stapleton has worked with many pop artists, he strips back to simpler arrangements for Starting Over. The album features two covers from legendary songwriter Guy Clark.
Andrea Bocelli – Believe
With almost 100 million albums sold, Andrea Bocelli is one of the biggest names in opera. His new album Believe includes an emotional rendition of ‘Amazing Grace’ with American singer Alison Krauss, as well as a cover of ‘Ave Maria’.
