Olivia Rodrigo make it three weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with Drivers License

It’s week three at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for ‘Drivers License’ by American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. The single this week continues its dominance at the top of charts around the world including the US and UK.

After taking out the #1 spot on the Triple J Hottest 100, ‘Heat Waves’ by Glass Animals jumps from #11 to #2 on this week’s chart. The British band also has two other tracks in the annual countdown, which aired on 23 January: ‘Tangerine’ (#18) and ‘Your Love (Déjà Vu)’ (#51). Glass Animals’ third album Dreamland returns to the ARIA Top 50 this week at #22.

Tones And I’s ‘Fly Away’ scores a new peak as it moves up two spots to #6. The track placed at #58 in the Hottest 100. It’s the single’s fourth week in the Top Ten.

Perth band Spacey Jane scores their first entry in the Top 50 of the ARIA Singles Chart as ‘Booster Seat’ debuts at #8. Coming from the band’s debut album Sunlight (#2 Jun. ’20), the track placed at #2 in Triple J’s Hottest 100. Spacey Jane had three other tracks in the Hottest 100: ‘Skin’ (#15), ‘Straightfaced’ (#28) and ‘Weightless’ (#81). Sunlight has jumped up 30 spots to sit at #14 on this week’s Albums Chart.

Tiësto’s ‘The Business’ moves up three spots to hit a new peak at #13.

Placing at #6 in the Hottest 100, Cardi B’s ‘WAP’ jumps back up the chart 13 spots to #18. The track spent six weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart in August/September 2020.

In its second week in the Top 50, ‘Goosebumps (Remix)’ by Travis Scott & HVME moves up seven spots to a new peak at #22.

ARIA-winning producer Flume re-enters the chart at #23 with ‘The Difference’. The track, featuring American artist Toro y Moi, was #3 in the Hottest 100. It previously spent one week in the chart, sitting at #45 in March 2020.

Doja Cat’s ‘Streets’ and The Weeknd’s ‘Save Your Tears’ continue their chart ascent, hitting #27 and #29, respectively, this week.

Melbourne duo Mashd N Kutcher return to the Top 50 for the first time in five years with ‘Get On The Beers’. The track, which features samples of dialogue from Victorian Premier Dan Andrews, placed at #12 in the Hottest 100. It’s the third Mashd N Kutcher single to chart after ‘Do It Now’ (#33 Feb. ’15) and ‘My Sunshine’ (#18 Jan. ’16).
