Travis puts the charts in Meltdown

Travis Scott is back in a big way this week as Utopia takes the #1 position on the ARIA Albums Chart, while the Singles Chart has a new #1 with Billie Eilish.

Utopia is Scott’s second #1 album here after Astroworld hit the top spot in 2018. The highly-anticipated album includes guest vocals from Beyonce, Playboy Carti, 21 Savage, Future, SZA, Sampha, Bon Iver and more; while the producers include James Blake, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Metro Boomin.

An enormous 18 tracks from the 19-track album debut on the singles chart this week, led by Meltdown at #6.

Following at #2 is the debut of Austin by Post Malone, his fifth studio album and the first to not feature any guest appearances. He went to #1 here in 2018 with Beerbongs & Bentleys and again in 2019 with Hollywood’s Bleeding. Austin also sees Posty return to #17 with The Diamond Collection, which peaked at #14 earlier this year.

On the Singles Chart, the Barbie-effect continues as Billie Eilish climbs from #2 to #1 with What Was I Made For?, marking the first single from the Barbie soundtrack to reach #1. It’s her second chart-topper here and 15th top 10: Bad Guy spent two weeks at #1 in 2019.

Two other songs from Barbie are in the top five: Barbie World by Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice and Aqua holds at #3, while Dua Lipa’s Dance The Night steps up from #6 to #4.

The late Sinead O’Connor’s Nothing Compares 2 U also returns to the chart at #62; it hit #1 in 1990 for eight weeks and was the best-selling single of the year. It was her only top 10 hit in Australia, apart from appearing on Band Aid 30’s remake of Do They Know It’s Christmas, which reached #3 in 2014.
