For the second week in a row Calvin Harris has claimed the #1 spot on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘This Is What You Came For’. The Rihanna collaboration becomes Harris’ longest run at #1 on the Singles Chart; his previous chart-topper ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ spent a solitary week in the top position.

After cracking the top ten for the first time last week, a jump of four has put Meghan Trainor’s ‘Me Too’ into the top five for the first time. It’s Trainor’s fourth top five on the ARIA Singles Chart and her first for 2016.

In its fourth week in the top 50, the debut chart appearance for Californian electronic trio Cheat Codes moves into the top 20 for the first time. ’Sex’ samples Salt-N-Pepa’s former #1 ‘Let's Talk About Sex’ (#1 Jan. ’92).

There are also new peaks for Ariana Grande’s ‘Into You’ (#16), Twenty One Pilots’ ‘Ride’ (#25), Keith Urban’s ‘The Fighter’ (#28), Charlie Puth’s ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ (#31) and Flo Rida’s ‘Hello Friday’ (#39).

Debuts:

#34: The Avalanches ‘Frankie Sinatra’ – With their comeback single, The Avalanches nab their first chart appearance in 16 years. ‘Frankie Sinatra’ is the first release from the Melbourne collective’s forthcoming second album Wildflower (due in July). It overtakes ‘Frontier Psychiatrist’ (#49 Oct. ’00) as their highest-charting single.

#45: Shawn Mendes ‘Treat You Better’ – Shawn Mendes picks up a third charting single from Handwritten (#18 Apr. ’15) with ‘Treat You Better’. It follows on from ‘Stitches’ (#4 Dec. ’15) and ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ (#33 Feb. ’16).
