Who’ll take out this week’s #1s?
Let’s take a look at some of the possible debuts and movers on this week’s ARIA Chart.
ALBUMs
After topping the Albums Chart with Title (#1 Jan. ’15), Meghan Trainor hopes to repeat that feat with second album Thank You; Melbourne’s The Living End return with their first album in five years, Shift; Something For Kate front man Paul Dempsey unleashes third solo album Strange Loop; American post-hardcore band Pierce The Veil could grab their first top 50 appearance thanks to fourth album Misadventures; having peaked at #10 with the single ‘Firestone’, Norwegian producer Kygo could make his Albums Chart debut with Cloud Nine; DevilDriver release their seventh studio album Trust No One; metalcore band Hatebreed could grab a second top 50 entry with eighth album The Concrete Confessional; following on from their debut Australian tour, Philadelphia indie band Modern Baseball could make their chart debut with Holy Ghost.
Albums that could climb up the chart this week include the Eurovision Song Contest Stockholm 2016 soundtrack, Taylor Swift’s 1989, Meghan Trainor’s Title’s and Little Mix’s Get Weird.
Singles
Following on from her second placing at Eurovision, Dami Im could finally make her top 50 debut with ‘Sound Of Silence’; after topping the Albums Chart last week Keith Urban could pick up a new Singles Chart entry with ‘The Fighter’; as well as being an Albums Chart contender, Meghan Trainor could chart with the single ‘Me Too’; currently on tour Little Mix could chart with ‘Hair’.
Tracks looking to continue their chart ascension include Galantis’ ‘No Money’, Meghan Trainor’s ‘No’ and Anne-Marie’s ‘Do It Right’.
