Innovator Ticket Refund Policy

2026 ARIA Innovator Ticket Refund Policy

1.Introduction

 This Policy details how Australian Recording Industry Association Ltd (ABN 72 002 692 944) (ARIA) will handle and process requests for industry ticket refunds for the 2026 ARIA Innovator event (the Event). This Policy should be read in conjunction with the ARIA Innovator Event Ticket and Attendee Terms and Conditions. This Policy operates in accordance with consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.

2.Scope

  • Tickets to the Event will be sold via Humanitix Limited (ABN 32 618 780 439) (Humanitix).
  • This Policy covers the original purchaser of the tickets (referred to as “you” or “your” in this Policy) who purchased tickets for the Event.
  • If you are eligible for a refund, you may contact ARIA to request a refund. You can do this by clicking the ‘Contact Host’ button in your email confirmation from Humanitix and select “I want to request a refund”. Before you request a refund, please read this Refund Policy.
  • Subject to the terms of this Refund Policy, ARIA will respond to a refund request within 5 business days

3.Cancellation of the Event

Where the Event is cancelled by ARIA and not rescheduled, all of your purchased tickets will be cancelled and ARIA will refund to you the original ticket price paid by you in full (less booking fee) for the tickets.

4. Postponement/Rescheduling of the Event

  • If the Event is postponed or rescheduled to a different date or location, the tickets purchased by you will be valid for the new date and/or location.
  • ARIA will notify you if the Event is to be postponed or rescheduled to a different date or location. In these circumstances, ARIA will provide you with a reasonable period of time to advise ARIA if you would like to obtain a refund for the tickets that you have purchased. In ARIA’s communications with you, ARIA will advise the deadline for which you must submit your refund request and the method by which you must submit this request. If you:
    • do not notify ARIA before the deadline, then ARIA will deem that you wish to retain the purchased tickets and attend the rescheduled Event. In these circumstances, the ticket purchaser will not be able to claim a refund unless specified by law; or
    • if you notify ARIA that you wish to obtain a refund using the specified method and by the specified deadline, then ARIA will cancel all of the tickets purchased by you, and refund to you the original ticket price paid by you in full (less booking fee) for the tickets.

5.Reconfiguration of the Event

  • The scale and configuration of the Event may need to be varied as result of government restrictions, public health orders or other regulations or laws including those related to health and safety (Orders).
  • ARIA may as a result of any Orders, decide to reduce the number of persons that may attend the Event or change the seating configuration to comply with the Orders. In such circumstances, ARIA may have to cancel the tickets purchased by you and refund to you the original ticket price paid by you in full (less booking fee) for the tickets.

6.General Cancellation and Postponement/Rescheduling Conditions

  • If the Event is to be postponed/rescheduled, refunds will not be made available until the new Event date is announced. You acknowledge that it may take ARIA some time to finalise arrangements for the rescheduled Event.
  • ARIA is not liable to you in any way if ARIA is unable to reach you to notify you of the cancellation, postponement/rescheduling or reconfiguration of the Event (for example if you provide incorrect contact details or you do not check your emails).
  • All refunds will be issued via the same means of payment that was used to purchase the tickets. Proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice may be required.
  • ARIA or Humanitix may require additional information, such as your identification, banking details or credit card details, to process the refund. If the necessary information is not provided, your refund may not be able to be processed.
  • If the Event is cancelled, rescheduled or reduced in scale or configuration by ARIA, then ARIA’s liability is limited to the amount which was paid by you for the tickets that you purchased. Unless required by law, ARIA will not be liable for any other losses incurred by you or any other person as a result of the cancellation, rescheduling or any changes to the Event, including any travel and accommodation costs incurred by you or any other person.

7.‘Change of Mind’ and Other Circumstances

  • ARIA will not offer a refund for a ticket to the Event in the following circumstances:
    • if you change your mind less than 7 days from the scheduled Event date;
    • if the Event takes place, despite rain or adverse weather;
    • if you are unable to attend the Event (for a reason other than set out in this Policy);
    • if you do not enjoy the Event;
    • if the Event is interrupted or is not able to finish for any reason;
    • if you breach the 2026 ARIA Innovator Ticket Terms & Conditions (including by way of example, if you do not comply with the ARIA Behaviour Benchmark (hyperlinked), the venue’s Reader and Visitor Code of Conduct (hyperlinked) or if you are ejected or denied entry to the venue due to your conduct or the conduct of your companions or your guests);
    • if you received a complimentary ticket;
    • if there is a change in speakers or guests; and
    • if your tickets are lost, damaged or stolen or if the legitimacy of your tickets cannot be confirmed.
  • Any circumstances not mentioned here will be at the discretion of ARIA and determined on a case-by-case basis. ARIA acknowledges that in the event of any misleading or deceptive representation by ARIA in relation to the Event, you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
