The countdown to the 2019 ARIA Awards presented by YouTube Music is on! With just one more sleep until Australian music’s night of nights on Wednesday, November 27th, ARIA is thrilled to announce yet another international guest appearance - this time via live cross!
22-time Grammy award-winning band U2 are excited to reveal that they will be presenting the ARIA Award for Best Group via a live cross from Perth, where they will be performing on their Joshua TreeTour.
U2 is the natural choice to present this award, as the group with the most ARIA number one albums in ARIA Chart history (11 in total). They are one of the world's best-selling artists, having sold an estimated over 170 million records worldwide. Their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005, and the band’s enduring popularity since their inception in 1976, has marked them as one of the most successful groups of all time.
The ARIA Awards will be broadcast from The Star Event Centre Sydney on the Nine Network.
